I run an online shop selling handmade crafts, and most of my buyers are from Chile. The problem is that the website sometimes freezes at checkout or loads product images too slowly. I’ve been told this could be because my hosting is located far away. I’m not very technical, but would a VPS in Chile actually fix this, or is it just marketing talk?

Has anyone here tried running an e-commerce store on VPS instead of going straight for the best web hosting dedicated server? I’m wondering if the upgrade is worth it for medium traffic shops.
